Coopers has a 150 year history of brewing excellence, is the largest Australian-owned brewery and still proudly owned and run by the Cooper family. On Creative's long-standing relationship with Coopers has produced some of its most recognisable branding and striking new product, packaging and POS design. Corporate communications are lifted out of the ordinary with signature Coopers style.
After seeing the unique graphic concept that On Creative devised for the SA Department of the Premier and Cabinet’s Economic Priorities Booklet, the Department realised that the simple picture-frame graphic had extraordinary ability to expand across a much greater variety of applications, allowing different pieces of communication to be linked in a singularly recognisable manner. The consistent graphic of the frames – itself inspired by the South Australia branding – was adapted into press advertising, info-graphics, websites, and prospectus documents showcasing South Australia to various countries. From there, it was also taken on for tactical purposes such as the France/South Australia Partnership, reflecting its easy customisation and far-reaching flexibility.
The Kingston District Council sits at the gateway to the popular Limestone Coast. Seeking to entice tourists off the busy Princes Highway and discover the attractive coastal town we took inspiration from a comment by a local councillor, and so The Beach Starts Here became the cornerstone of a flexible town brand that reflected both Kingston SE’s physical location and the opportunities the community offered.
This international prestige brand, the world’s largest hospitality institution, had lost brand value and impact through inconsistent execution in multiple markets. On Creative created a global branding platform with custom photo-shoot, self-assured positioning line with an international flavour, and unmistakeable colour link to the brand name.
Sunrise Christian School needed a new brand and communication platform to position them as the school-of-choice for Christian families in South Australia. An important factor was establishing a ‘one school’ philosophy by aligning their six campuses under a single banner, and presenting a strong, unified voice to the marketplace.
Building on their tagline ‘healthy bones for every body’, we created a new platform with a fresh, vibrant colour and feel that is immediately recognisable. We also redesigned the organisation’s mascot character Sammy, and created mascot supporters: the Skeleton Crew, as the foundation for their schools’ education programme.
For the DPTI, we created an engaging brand identity to help communicate the integration of its fares and public transport system. The Connect & Go brand was so successful that it was then extended across wider promotions, and led to the creation of a suite of promotional messaging for the new MetroCard travel passes which also drew on the ‘connect and go’ language.
Not-for-profit organisation Barkuma has been providing services to South Australians with disabilities for over 40 years. However, they had never embarked on any mainstream awareness communications until they approached On Creative. Barkuma's focus is the inclusion of people with a disability within the community, including social, housing and employment opportunities.
Morphettville is now the only active horse racing venue within the Adelaide area. With 'Allan Scott Park' naming rights agreement coming to an end, Morphettville aims to become recognised as the heart and home of South Australian thoroughbred racing, much in the manner of Victoria's Flemington. On Creative has developed a new branding platform including visual identity and a suite of language and visual elements adaptable across all of Morphettville's communication requirements for both racing and function activities.
In recognition of the 50th anniversary of the invention of the wine cask, the world’s leading manufacturer of wine pouches teamed up with key Australian wineries to raise the profile of the cask, dispel common misconceptions, and celebrate this important milestone.
As lead design agency, On Creative’s task was to devise a fun, engaging and extendable set of marketing visuals and headlines which could be used by the wineries, and also stand alone. To this end, we crafted a number of immediately recognisable online, press, outdoor and video components that reflected the nostalgia of the cask, as well as its convenience, versatility and iconic status in the lifestyle of Australian wine-drinkers.
